The Institute is the leading research and instructive organisation of the Country on those problems. ARRVIPS is an up-to-date centre on research and diagnosis the most infectious viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases of fowls. Highly trained scientists and specialists work in the field of epizootology and diagnostics, prophylactic and therapy of many avian diseases. They conduct research work on development of methods and measures for diagnosis, prophylactic and treatment of salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, reovirus and adenovirus infection of birds, infectious laryngotracheitis, infectious bronchitis, infectious bursal disease, Marek’s disease and other fowl neoplasms. The character of specific and non-specific immunity, influence of different biologically active products and means on the development of immunity and increase of poultry resistance are being studied. The Institute’s products are - high quality diagnostics and laboratory methods for detection and recognition of avian disease with different aetiology, modern vaccines and chemical drugs for prevention and treatment of these diseases. ARRVIPS co-operates with several foreign research establishments. Great attention is paid to the training of research personnel through post graduate and trade improvement courses for practising veterinarians in the poultry industry. Diagnostic Centre The diagnostic and epizootologic assay centre of ARRVIPS performs epizootologic investigations of poultry farms and laboratory testing for diagnosis of Gumboro disease, EDS-76, infectious bronchitis, influenza, Newcastle’s disease, paramyxovirus infection, fowl pox, infectious laryngotracheitis, reovirus infection, infectious anaemia, adenovirus infections, Marek’s disease, infections of leukosis, salmonellosis, pseudomonos, kiebsiellosis, hemophylosis, mycoplasmosis, staphylococcosis, and streptococcosis, aspergillosis, hlotomoniasis, coccidiosis and other diseases. The Centre fulfils: Control of Marek’s disease, infectious laryngotracheitis and Newcastle disease vaccine activity. Examination of food toxicity and possibility to use them for poultry. Development of veterinary-sanitary recommendations and issues a certificate on farms veterinary welfare. Together with the ARRVIPS scientific research workers, specialists of other veterinary, medical and biological organisations take part in the Centre’s works. All investigations are carried out on the basis of one attendance and long-term contracts between the Institute and poultry farms. The Institute produces:
Vaccine is used for goose enteritis prophylactic. Goose enteritis vaccine increases
hatching eggs more than 5-8 % and provides safety of geese more than 90-95 %.
