Cooperation and Investment Programme

Murmansk Commercial Seaport has close relations with the foreign companies of Finland, producing loading facilities, spare parts and equipment for lifting of cargoes (Sisy Terminal Systems, Kone Cranes Corporation, Roxon Oy) and companies of Sweden (Kalmar), Switzerland (Planmarine, Lifteck). The investment programme "OJSC Murmansk Commercial Seaport" is designed to modernise the complex for handling of apatite concentrate. MCS built a new gallery and bought the shiploader of Roxon Oy. For further upgrading of the complex it is required about 8-10 mln USD. It can increase the capacity of the existing complex up to 4.500.000 tn per year. Further investment is required for the technical upgrading of the Port, approximately the following: about 50 mln USD for purchasing of 19 port cranes with capacity of 10-32 tn and modernisation of the old ones 1,5 mln USD for a new automatic telephone station for 2000 subscribers about 4,0 mln USD for building of the new warehouses. The programme of upgrading of MCS is open both to Russian and foreign investors and partners. Investments for the modernisation of MCS are beneficial to investors as the Port is a modern and competitive enterprise. MCS does not have any debts to the Federal and Regional budgets .
