The 1st Transhipment Terminal: berth no 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and piers No 1, 3. Length of the berth front is 1436 m.
Depth near the berths: about 9,7 – 11,5 m.
Berth No 7 is a container terminal equipped with Finnish-made KOHE transporter container loading briges and has a covered warehouse with the total floor space of 2000 sq.m. The Terminal is specializing in handling the Ministry of Railway's and ISO Containers.
The 1st Terminal has 12 covered warehouses with the total floor space of 31690 sg. m as well as open air platforms for storing general and bulk cargoes with the total floor space of 73200 sg. m.
Annually Terminal handles 3,2 million tons of cargo: general cargo of various nomenclature, metals, ferroalloys, chemical fertilizers, round timber, sawn timber, machinery, combustive-lubricating materials and dangerous cargo. At the beginning of May 1998, a regular Russian-Korean container line "Pusan-Vanino-Korsakov" was inaugurated to transport high capacity containers, using existing international rail and sea communications. Transportation of containers is carried out by specialized and universal vessels with a container capacity of 215 TEU. From Vanino Port cargoes are delivered practically in any direction: to all parts of Russia, Eastern and Western Europe/
In April 2000 the new container line Vanino - Magadan - Vanino began to operate.
At the beginning of May 1998, a regular Russian-Korean container line "Pusan-Vanino-Korsakov" was inaugurated to transport high capacity containers, using existing international rail and sea communications. Transportation of containers is carried out by specialized and universal vessels with a container capacity of 215 TEU. From Vanino Port cargoes are delivered practically in any direction: to all parts of Russia, Eastern and Western Europe/
