Innovative programmes CIIM’s postgraduate programmes are characterised by a unique combination of interactive teaching and action learning, offering students the possibility of applying classroom theory in practice. Besides its unique MBA and its counterpart for the public sector, Master in Public Sector Management (MPSM), CIIM also offers specialized Master of Science (MSc) programmes in: Marketing Management; Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour; Shipping Management; Educational Leadership and Management; and Finance and Banking (forthcoming). Master in Business Administration (MBA) An ideal fusion of the best of European and American business and management education, with a sharp focus on quality, creativity and personal effectiveness. With its modular course structure and innovative learning methods, CIIM’s MBA is one of the most demanding and intellectually challenging MBA programmes anywhere. The MBA curriculum is thoroughly international and is designed to provide students with far-reaching business management insights and skills required to achieve success in a wide range of industries anywhere in the world. Beyond the core curriculum, CIIM offers its MBA students a wide choice of over 50 elective courses, organized in seven areas of concentration: Marketing; Finance; Strategy and International Business; Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour; Shipping Management and Logistics; Technology and Operations Management; and Entrepreneurship and Management of SMEs. Master in Public Sector Management (MPSM) A specialized MBA for the public sector, the MPSM is specifically designed for individuals committed to public service including, among others, civil service professionals in the most productive years of their careers as well as those who aspire to civil service positions. The MPSM is also addressed to professionals and aspirants of semi-government institutions, municipalities, and private, voluntary and other non-profit civil society organizations. The programme is designed to prepare the next generation of forward-thinking leaders in public sector management. Equally, and as important, the MPSM is designed to meet the needs of employers by stimulating strategic thinking and practical, reform-oriented approach while providing practical tools to deliver value to the organization and to the public. Master of Science Programmes (MSc) These specialized Master programmes aim to equip participants with in-depth knowledge and skills in a particular area of management or business sector, and help them to evolve and excel in their respective field, amidst an increasingly competitive environment. The programmes are geared toward young university graduates, as well as young professionals engaged in these fields. MSc in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour The programme aims to prepare and train business professionals, who aspire to become HR leaders in their organizations. It will help them acquire the role of a strategic partner in leading, managing and developing the human assets of the organization. In addition, the programme aims to provide an interactive framework, within which the numerous organizational behaviour issues and variables can be situated and conceptualized. MSc in Shipping Management Designed to provide the management skills, knowledge and expertise required for a successful career in the demanding world of maritime, shipping and logistics business, the MSc in Shipping Management is a programme of both academic rigour and practical relevance, aiming to meet the rapidly growing demand for effective management in this exciting sector of international business. MSc in Marketing Management The area of marketing offers very challenging and satisfying job opportunities. It is also an area that is very competitive and now, more than ever, employers require highly qualified professionals. The CIIM MSc in Marketing Management is a cutting-edge programme, designed to deliver the crucial level of expertise and know-how that is required for successful global careers. Accreditation and membership • The CIIM MBA and MPSM are internationally accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Programme Accreditation System EPAS of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). They are also recognised and accredited by the Accreditation Authorities of the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture, SEKAP and KYSATS. • CIIM was awarded an Erasmus Extended University Charter by the European Commission. • Programme credits are recognised and fully transferable throughout the European Union and beyond, under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). • All our postgraduate programmes are approved by and registered with Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture. • CIIM is an active member of both the Brussels-based European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the US-based AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). • It is also a member of the Academic Council of the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). The CIIM International Student Office provides support and assistance to foreign students on all matters concerning their life in Cyprus, from the moment of their arrival, until they graduate. This includes assistance in obtaining an entry visa, transfer from to the airport, accommodation, bank account opening, medical insurance, as well as support in any other matter they may need.
