The Cranfield MBA will change your life. You are probably considering an MBA in order to accelerate your career progress or to help you to change careers. That is why we have designed our MBA programme to provide you with the skills that employers are looking for from an MBA, and have invested in additional resources for the School’s own Career Development Service. The Cranfield MBA has several key differentiating features: • a compulsory Personal and Professional Development module that runs right through the programme, forming the backbone of the MBA • thematic elective modules based on management themes or business processes rather than functional electives, for example entrepreneurship, change management and innovation, providing you with the skills that employers want • an international business experience module - a study tour giving you an opportunity to apply your learning in an international context, to develop networks and evaluate business opportunities • the Cranfield MBA Conference at the end of the programme, providing an opportunity to showcase your skills to an invited audience of alumni and other industry leaders. There are now nine members of staff in the School’s Career Development team, including two Chartered Occupational Psychologists, whose aim is to help you to find the way to the job you really want. The additional resources we have invested are already producing results, with 97% of the Full-time MBA Class of 2006 in employment within three months of graduating. Much of the support you will get from the careers team is integrated into the MBA core programme. This includes a unique three-day Leadership Assessment Centre, which provides feedback to inform your personal and professional development. You can choose the route to the Cranfield MBA that suits you best: an intensive one year period of full-time study that takes you out of the job market for the shortest possible time; or, if you don’t want to interrupt your career, you can study part-time over two years, attending classes at Cranfield all day Friday and Saturday every other weekend, and for four residential weeks each year. If you are based outside the UK, or travel the world and are not able to commit to such regular attendance, you can follow our modular option, spending six eight-day periods at Cranfield each year for two years. Whichever route you choose, your MBA will be of the same high quality. We first began offering a full-time MBA in the mid-1960s. The part-time option was introduced in 1981 and the modular programme was launched in 2001. Over the years we have developed an international reputation for excellence and we are consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world. Cranfield is one of only a handful of international business schools to be accredited by all three of the main accrediting bodies: the International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
Cranfield School of Management was set up over 30 years ago with the purpose of contributing to the improvement of management practice and leadership. Today it is one of Europe’s leading business schools with a growing international reputation. It is renowned for its high quality teaching and research and its strong links with industry and business. Above all, Cranfield is known as a school which provides practical management solutions.
