MSc in Analytical Science: Methods and Instrumental Techniques (AS:MIT)

The MSC in Analytical Science: Methods and Instrumental Techniques (AS:MIT) is delivered by internationally leading experts from the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Engineering and the Life Sciences at Warwick, as well as visiting lecturers from companies such as Pfizer, Syngenta and Astra-Zeneca. Students gain hands-on practical experience with a wide range of equipment relevant to each module, enabling graduates from the course to work in any modern laboratory since the skills they will acquire are readily transferable between sub-disciplines.


MSc in Polymer Chemistry

The Polymer Chemistry MSc Taught Masters Course is designed to educate and train students in the fundamentals (from synthesis and characterization to understanding bulk properties and applications) as well as providing hands on experience and opportunities to develop transferable skills providing an ideal platform for students who aim to pursue their career in academia and industry. The interaction with industry and world leading experts will be strong. Students studying for the MSc in Polymer Chemistry will take seven taught core modules and one optional module and will carry out two research projects as well as undertake the Warwick Interdisciplinary Science Transferable Skills module.


MSc + PhD in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry (MBBC)

MOAC DTC (Molecular Organisation and Assembly in Cells Doctoral Training Centre) offers a four year degree programme (MSc + PhD) in Multidisciplinary Science at the interface between Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Computing. MOAC aims to provide students with an insight into the problems and challenges in these fields, thereby gaining the communication skills to bridge the gap that exists between the individual disciplines. Science graduates who wish to develop a multidisciplinary research career at the interface of Life Sciences are invited to apply. Studentships are available for UK citizens for 2012 and 2013 entry (full fees + £14k). EU students can apply for a limited number of stipends covering tuition fees.


MSc in Chemistry with Scientific Writing (CSW)

This MSc enables students to gain new scientific writing skills through three core modules which explore the use and application of scientific English. Whilst improving their use of English in the scientific environment, students are able to obtain advanced scientific training from the Department of Chemistry. The course is designed to improve scientific English skills (and English Language skills in general) and enable rigorous scientific investigation.


MSc in Scientific Research and Communication (SRC)

This MSc offers top quality English Language teaching from the Centre for Applied Linguistics combined with advanced scientific teaching and research from the highly rated science departments across the University of Warwick.

Three core modules offer students the opportunity to learn scientific English Language skills. Alongside this candidates benefit from the highest quality scientific training from across a range of disciplines within the Faculty of Science. Participating departments include Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and the School of Life Sciences.
