MA Leisure & Tourism Management - a one year full-time programme. This modular course allows graduates from a range of disciplines to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in Leisure and Tourism Management. Modular in design, with two compulsory modules, four electives and a dissertation. MSc Food science and Technology - a one year full-time programme. Designed to allow graduates in biological or other scientific disciplines to develop their skills in an applied area. New food legislation has increased the demand for graduates of high intellectual calibre who also possess good problem solving skills allied to food safety. BA (Hons) Hospitality Management - a four year course, which includes one year industrial placement. Skills acquired will allow students to develop into senior management roles in the hospitality industry. BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management - a four year programme, which includes one year industrial placement. Preparing students for management roles in the international sector of the hospitality sector. Components of the course are based around the wider overseas market. BA (Hons) Recreation and Leisure Management - a three year programme. Offering student the opportunity to develop leisure, recreation and sports studies within a business management context, preparing them for a career in the leisure industry. BA (Hons) Tourism - a three year or four year sandwich programme. Students develop critical understanding, professional knowledge and skills, necessary to take up managerial roles in the fast expanding tourism industry. Students can choose to spend a period of supervised work experience with an appropriate organisation within the UK or abroad. BSc (Hons) Catering Management - a four year sandwich programme. Modular in design, some of the modules reflect areas of hospitality management, whilst the main theme of the course is quality and the need to manage the science of producing large quantities of appetising food for large numbers of people, in a safe and nutritious way. Opportunities of work experience in the catering industry are widely available. HND Culinary Arts - a two year programme, which includes work experience between years one and two. Providing students with a sound grasp of management and technical skills required to run a restaurant or similar culinary based establishment. HND Hospitality Management - a two year programme, which includes work experience between years one and two. A modern hospitality manager requires a wide range of skills, with the ability to function at both the operational and strategic levels. HND Licensed Trade Management - a two year programme. The course provides a range of technical and management skills, covering the areas of licensed houses, food and accommodation. HND Recreation and Leisure Management - a two year programme. The clear business orientation of the course includes core business and management modules, focusing on the management of money, people and objects.
