Accommodation Available
Fees Polish full-time students do not pay tuition fees. However, if their examinations end in failure, which results in repeating a course, they have to pay EUR 2.50 per one hour. Polish non-residential students are supposed to pay a fee of EUR 350 per semester. Tuition fee for foreigners amounts to EUR 3.000 – 5.000 per year. They can apply for scholarships granted by the government of the country they come from or the Polish Ministry of Education and Sport. The fees listed below do not cover accommodation and board.

Fees are as follows:
* The registration fee - EUR 200
* Tuition fee - EUR 3.000 per year (full-time studies)
- EUR 5.000 per year (postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes)
* Accommodation in a student hostel - EUR 30-70 a month per person (depending on the hostel standard)
* Board - EUR 100 per month

All students should be insured.
Financial assistance If in difficault financial situation, students can apply for financial support scholarships granted by the University. The students who have shown high academic performance are awarded academic scholarships as well. Foreigners can only be granted scholarships either by the government of the state they come from or the Polish one
Admission requirements Gdansk University of Technology welcomes applications from all who have acquired secondary-school education and are capable of benefiting from higher education. No potential student will be excluded as a result of discrimination on the grounds of sex, marital status, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or beliefs.

Foreign students have to submit their applications by the beginning of the academic year in October, either to the Polish Ministry of Education and Sport, to the Gdansk University of Technology's Vice-rector for Education or directly to the Dean of the faculty they would like to study at. There are no limits as far as the number of foreign students is concerned. Generally, they do not have to take entrance examinations. The only exception is the Faculty of Architecture where passing an examination in drawing is required. All the faculties and departments require their students to have completed a year's Polish language course at one of the Polish schools for foreigners e.g.: The Polish Language School for Foreigners at the University of Lˇdz, ul. Kopcinskiego 16/18, 90-232 Lˇdz; or the Sopot School for Foreigners, Al. Niepodleglosci 763, 81-838 Sopot.
