    Student self-body consists of: Student University Council, 3 Student Faculty Council. Such a Body has its representatives in the University Senate, Faculty Councils, Library Council, Student Hostel Cuncil. The Board is about 10 persons.

  • Chair of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education - Wieslaw Osinski, prof. PH.D
    Research/didactic field of interests: health-related fitness - measurement and determinants, morphological and social determinants of physical fitness, phusical fitness tests of children and youth (YMCA tests), optimisation of motor abilities training, physical activity in health promotion, physical education curricula and programmes in schools, body build as a health risk factor in a coronary disease, physical activity of children and youth, and its determinants.

  • Chair of Theory and Methodology of Sport - Eugeniusz Wachowski, prof.Ph.D
    Research/didactic field of interests: the identification of the leading motor abilities in selected sports, training loads determinants, programming and control, social-cultural determinants of children motor development (concerning the children from the rural environment).

  • Chair of Theory and Methodology of Gymnastics - Slawomir Drozdowski, prof. Ph.D.
    Research/didactic field of interests: biosocial determinants and effects of doing different forms of gymnastic exercises, generation changes in a physical development and physical fitness of children and youth, morphological determinants of physical fitness, physical fitness measurement, didactic aspects of gymnastics and sports acrobatics.

    Research/didactic field of interests: formation of skeletal muscle in fetal ontogenesis, methodology of determining the fetuses age, development of somatic features and internal organs in fetal ontogenesis, electrogoniometry of human body, anthropomorphology of muscles.

    Research/didactic field of interests: neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, the structure and function of a motor unit, the structure and function of movement centre.

  • Chair of Biomechanics and Kinesiotherapy - Aleksander Kabsch, prof. M PH.D
    Research/didactic field of interests: clinical biomechanics, movement organs overloads, spinal biomechanics, ergonomics, physiotherapy/rehabilitation.
  • Clinical Centre of Physiotherapy - Piotr Dylewicz, prof. M.D.
    Research/didactic field of interests: cardiologic physiotherapy, physiology of physical exercise, secondary cardiologic prevention, clinical pharmacology, public health. Faculty of Physical Education has 3 specialisations: teaching of physical education, coaching and physiotheraphy.

    Basic academic disciplines: Teacher Training, Rehabilitation Medicine and Therapy. At the Faculty of Physical Education students have one obligatory foreign language class.

    Major fields of research: The following research areas are of special interest and intensive research activity: 1) morphological and motoric confitions of man's physical fitness, 2) metabolism of physical strain, 3) rehabilitation and physical culture of physically handicapped, 4) medicine of sport, Research activities are financed by the state budget through the Committee of Scientific Research, and also through commissions from other Poznan university schools and sports clubs. Some research topics are co-authored within bilateral agreements with European universities.

    Research/didactic field of interest: tourism infrastructure, planning and urban development, environmental protection and municipal management in the areas of resorts, tourism and nature.

  • Chair of Pedagogy of Leisure and Recreation - Wieslaw Siwinski, prof. Ph D.
    Research/didactic field of interests: pedagogy and methodology of physical education, tourism activity of different social groups.

    Research/didactic field of interests: tourism policy (from international, national, regional and local perspectives), organisational-legal problems of tourism and recreation/leisure, participation in tourism and leisure.

    Research/didactic field of interests: human nutrution, the technology of nutrition, history of food and nutrition.

    Research/didactic field of interests: mathematics, statistics, information technology, econometrics, theory of sports team games, databases, computer programming, statistics in tourism, logic, optimisation studies.

  • Practical Placement, Camp and Field Experience Organization Section

    Faculty of Tourism and Recreation has 4 specialisations: tourism service and organisation, tourism policy, hotel management and leisure and recreation studies. At the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation two level study system was introduced with a 3 years licenciate (BA equivalent) course and 1,5 magisterium (MA) course.

    Basic academic disciplines: Hotel and Restaurant, Tourism, Leisure Studies At the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation students have two obligatory foreign language classes.

    Major fields of research: The following research areas are of special interest and intensive research activity: 1) humanistic and ecological bases of physical culture and tourism, 2) determinants of tourism industry debelopment in free market conditions. Research activities are financed by the state budget through the Committee of Scientific Research, and also through commissions from other Poznan university schools and sports clubs. Some research topics are co-authored within bilateral agreements with European universities.
