Our accredited Masters in Management programmes welcome students from a wide range of educational backgrounds; there is no requirement to have studied Business or Management previously at undergraduate level. One of the key features of our Management programmes is the diversity of our student body. Students come from all over the world to study for a Masters in Management with us. Specialist Masters Programmes

Our specialist Masters programmes have been designed to equip you with the specialised skills you need in order to compete in the current and future business world. Prior knowledge, preferably to degree level, in Business and/ or Management areas is required. These are specialist programmes and we expect students to have a good knowledge base in the given areas.

Digital Marketing

This Masters in Digital Marketing is designed to give you a deeper understanding of the relationship between marketing theory and marketing practice. You will be challenged to look beyond the superficial aspects of description and to use deeper levels of analysis to search for more innovative and creative solutions to marketing challenges.

You will also conduct a fundamental review of the key influences on marketing – such as economics, psychology and sociology – as well as exploring classical and contemporary theories about marketing. Your study subjects will include Arts and Heritage Marketing, Non-profit and Social Marketing, Marketing Metrics and Political Marketing, among many others. Naturally, you will pay particular attention to the theories and applications that relate to digital marketing. Your MSc programme will culminate in writing your final dissertation on an aspect of digital marketing that holds particular interest or has relevance to your career. This dissertation will bring together the knowledge gained during the programme and allow you to demonstrate your learning on a specific issue or problem within digital marketing. You may use this study to showcase your expertise or as a springboard into future study or research.

International Business

The MSc in International Business will equip you with the skills and specialist knowledge required to test the theories, practices and conventional wisdom pertaining to the function of financial institutions, instruments, and markets in the economic process. You will be encouraged to critically evaluate the contemporary role of international corporations and the financial environments in which they function, and you will be required to define and justify your own theories on issues like globalisation, regionalisation, organisational strategy and the importance of regulation.

You will study topics including international management, development, financial systems and the economic process through particular models and equations found in the core and optional study modules. For instance, in the module Research Methods, you will learn to employ quantitative analytical methods including multidimensional scaling and conjoint analysis to clarify your understanding of subjects throughout the course. This will also prepare you for your final dissertation in which you will demonstrate your enhanced skills in critical thinking and creativity, analysis, synthesis and critical appraisal. You will study within the energetic School of Management and Business where robust debate is encouraged. Lectures and seminars will require you to develop your own ideas and to express, justify and defend them against the competing claims of your peers. You are, however, expected to take responsibility for your learning through independent reading and further study. This course runs full time for one academic year.

This programme offers you the opportunity to study advanced Marketing concepts at postgraduate level. The underlying premise of the programme is to develop an integrated and critical approach to the study of Marketing. Fundamental to the programme, therefore, is the fostering of a strong relationship between Marketing theory and Marketing practice, and you will be challenged to look beyond the superficial aspects of description and to use deeper levels of analysis to search for more innovative and creative solutions to Marketing issues. You will also be encouraged to consider, in a critical, self-reflexive way, your own positioning in relation to the theories and concepts you engage with.

Tourism Marketing

This MSc in Tourism Marketing is designed to give you a deeper understanding of the relationship between marketing theory and marketing practice. You will be challenged to look beyond the superficial aspects of description and to use deeper levels of analysis to search for more innovative and creative solutions to marketing challenges.
