Accommodation All NATFA students can be accommodated at reasonable prices in its special hostel situated on the premises of the Sofia Students' Campus. The campus never stops living and its infrastructure includes sports' facilities, a wide variety of restaurants, recreational and entertainment centres, a specialized polyclinic hospital, shopping areas, children's playgrounds and nursery-schools, low-price students' diners and a convenient transport network.

Obligatory Documents Accompanying the Application Form

Copy of High School Education Certificate together with its supplement (in which the subjects studied are listed with the marks and horarium in each of them) which has to be legalized with an "apostil" (a special rectangular stamp of the relevant country), translated and certified by the local authorities and the Bulgarian Consulate in the country of origin.

(for BA only) A Document issued by the local authorities stating that the candidate can apply for higher education in the country of origin which has to be legalized with an apostil (a special rectangular stamp of the relevant country), translated and certified by the local authorities and the Bulgarian Consulate in the country of origin.

(for MA only) Copy of Bachelor’s Certificate together with Transcript of Academic Record (in which the subjects studied are listed with the marks and horarium in each of them) which has to be legalized with an "apostil" (a special rectangular stamp of the relevant country), translated and certified by the local authorities and the Bulgarian Consulate in the country of origin.

CV (in English).

Statement of Purpose – a short essay why the applicant has chosen to follow the respective course of studies at NATFA (in English).

Medical Certificate – issued by local medical authorities no later than 1 month prior to application, legalized, translated and certified by local authorities and the Bulgarian Consulate in the country of origin.

Four passport-sized photos.

Photocopy of the passport.

PhD PROGRAMS

Only candidates holding MA (MFA) Degree Certificates which are: (1) awarded in the respective field of their desired PhD, and (2) officially recognized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science (168/2000 Decree of the Council of Ministries), may apply for the PhD educational degrees in NATFA.

- The Full-time PhD programs require a minimum of three years in residence.
- The Part-time PhD programs require a minimum of four years in residence.

Candidates should submit the following documents, accompanying the application form:

NB: BA and transfer students must complete the Bulgarian Language Course in their first year of studies whereas all MA and PhD courses are held in English.
Application Deadlines for BA or MA applicants and transfer students - till 25 August of the year actual to entry; for PhD degrees and short courses applicants - throughout the whole year.
