Admissions requirements	Applicants to the Program must have successfully completed a first degree in law or economics/business and have at least one year of post-graduate work experience. Previous international experience and extracurricular activities are advantageous in the admissions process. The Master of Law and Business (LLM /MLB ) is the ideal program for law and business graduates who wish to obtain a professional advantage in today's highly-competitive business and legal environments. Depending on the focus of their studies, graduates are awarded either a Master of Laws (LLM ) or a Master of Law and Business (MLB ). The Program is run by the Bucerius Law School, Germany's top-ranked law school.

In today's global economy, lawyers and business people alike are regularly confronted with international issues that involve both legal and business aspects. The Program's one-year curriculum, taught entirely in English, is designed exclusively for lawyers, business people and graduates of other disciplines who strive to be at the forefront of these legal and business developments.

The curriculum takes the life-cycle of a business enterprise and pursues both the legal and business aspects of that development. Students analyze the realization of an entrepreneurial idea, investigate the founding of a business enterprise, and evaluate the international growth and development of that enterprise. Elective modules allow students to deepen their knowledge in additional areas of law and business. A mandatory internship and writing of a master's thesis add practice-oriented and research components to the Program.

As a result of this curriculum, LLM /MLB graduates boast an impressive set of skills and knowledge with direct relevance for work in international companies, law firms, and other organizations. They belong to that group of cutting-edge professionals who have been systematically trained to take an interdisciplinary approach to legal and management questions.

The student body, consisting of well-trained professionals from around the world, fosters an intercultural understanding of legal and business questions and helps prepare students for their international careers.
