Cost / fees
At the moment, the tuition fees amount to EUR 1,990 per semester. In addition, a social contribution of currently EUR 124 is due each semester. Not included are travel and accommodation expenses or meal allowances during the on-campus phases.

Objective and Target Group

In-depth knowledge of and expertise in modern financial mathematics and actuarial science, and the ability to apply these statistically and numerically, are becoming increasingly important in the financial and insurance sectors. The distance learning programme is aimed at mathematicians with professional experience who wish to acquire a deeper understanding of financial mathematics in a focused 1-year programme without obtaining a (further) Master's degree.

Teaching-Learning-Format

The teaching-learning-format consists of comprehensive, scientifically sound and practice-oriented self-study materials that have been developed by experts especially for distance learning, an online campus as an interactive learning platform and on-campus phases to consolidate the knowledge that is acquired through self-study in theory and practice. Mandatory on-campus phases take place once per semester over a (long) weekend in Kaiserslautern.
