    The "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi organises language courses for foreign students. The (intensive) Romanian summer course, which will enable one to understand and read in Romanian within a short time, is recommended for students who have no proficiency in Romanian.
    Romanian advanced knowledge is not compulsory, because one may deliver reports and take exams in English or French and because nearly everyone in the University, both students and academics, speaks or understands a foreign language (mainly English and French)
