Marine Academy can be proud of state-of-the-art navigation training equipment, ship power plants, and Global Maritime Distress and Safety System. The training and pilot workshop as well as the Raw Materials and Foodstuffs Research Center have been established at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biology. Among small innovative enterprises involved in research commercialization which were recently founded, those dealing with the issues of food processing technologies and energy efficiency audit should be highlighted. Another fact to be proud of is being the owner of the largest tall ship “Sedov” which can be also involved as the platform for education process, conferences, seminars and other business events.

Apart from research work carried out within post-graduate studies, research schools and small innovative enterprises, MSTU takes part in large-scale EU-funded projects aimed at technological and environmental improvements in the Arctic.
