Full-Time Study To be considered for full-time matriculated status, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree. Average applicants have a 3.2 undergrad GPA and 550 GMAT (GMAT not required for the MS in Bioethics). Full-time students typically take two years to complete the MBA. However, in some instances it is possible to complete the program at an accelerated rate. Part-time Study MS in Bioethics students typically complete the program on a part time basis over a three year period. Part-time MBA students may begin course work on a non-matriculated basis during any academic term. Students must hold a bachelor's degree and have an undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale - or be reviewed by the Management Admissions Committee - to begin course work as non-matriculates. Up to three Core courses may be completed on a non-matriculated basis. Non-matriculated students may not take Advanced students courses. Must matriculate prior to fourth course. Part-time students typically take four to five courses a year and complete the program in four years or less. There are 5 terms available; Summer I, Summer II, Fall, Winter, and Spring. |

Date of commencement / application deadline | Graduation is once a year in mid June. International students requiring an I-20 or IAP-66 are encouraged to apply by March 1 for fall admission. Merit Scholarship is also allocated in early spring. Non-U.S. applicants who have not studied for at least two years in an English speaking program must also submit an official score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The International Office provides a wide variety of personalized services to international students, including visa and immigration assistance. |
Class size | Small classes (average size 15) ensure that your education is not a "spectator sport." Almost all classes meet in the evening, enabling us to bring full and part- time students, from all educational backgrounds, together in exciting and diversified ways. Faculty are routinely accessible outside of class for individual student questions and conversation. |
Accommodation | Housing for graduate students is generally off-campus. There is very limited off-campus College sponsored housing. However, housing is plentiful and inexpensive within walking distance of the campus. A furnished room will cost approximately $460 per month. This includes heat and electricity. A telephone is not included -- students must pay for their own telephone service. A one-bedroom apartment (unfurnished - you buy your own furniture) costs from $300 to $600 and may not include utilities (heat and electricity). Many students share apartments. The staff will assist arrange housing prior to your arrival. |

The School of Management is committed to helping you meet your educational and career goals. We know that financing a graduate education can be a challenge. As long as funds are available, scholarships are given based on your undergraduate excellence and standardised testing. You must maintain a grade point average of 3.2 in the MBA program to automatically receive a merit scholarship in the second year.
Full Time Students Full time students are automatically considered for merit scholarships and need not fill out a separate scholarship form. Merit scholarship can reduce tuition by up to 50% Part-time Students If you are pursuing the MBA on a part-time basis you will be considered for merit scholarships based on that portion of your tuition that is not reimbursable by your employer. If you are interested in being considered for part-time financial aid you must inform Rhonda Sheehan (sheehanr@union.edu; 518-388-6238) and submit a copy of your employer's tuition benefits policy. International Students All students, including international student , are considered for merit-based scholarships on an individual basis. |

Master of Business Administration (AACSB Accredited) The M.B.A. Management program prepares students for analytical, managerial, and executive-level positions in a variety of enterprises. The design and delivery of the curriculum emphasize broad exposure to core business disciplines; the building of analytical, computer, communication, and human management skills; and the development of an ethical, systems-oriented, cross-functional perspective for decision making. The M.B.A. - Healthcare Management Program (AACSB and CAHME Accredited) The MBA in Healthcare Management prepares graduates for careers as administrators and analysts in health care, governmental, and private sector organizations with strong health care interests. Typical organizations hiring health systems graduates include hospitals, clinics, health maintenance organizations, consulting firms, planning and regulatory agencies and research firms.
